Just after 8:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 were dispatched to the 1600 block of Fifth Avenue along the border between the Crawford-Roberts and Bluff neighborhoods for a domestic situation.
Arriving officers were met by an adult female victim who stated that the male actor threw her to the ground and held her against her will.
The victim complained of pain in her shoulder, but declined all medical care.
The actor was cooperative with officers. He was taken into custody and transported to the Allegheny County Jail.
Tariq M. Carpenter, 24-years-old, is charged with Simple Assault.
