Zoning Text Amendment, Council Bill 2026-0009, Short-Term Rentals

The City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission will hear public testimony on a Zoning Text Amendment amending the Pittsburgh Code to add definitions and standards for Short-Term (Primary) and Short-Term (Accessory) uses to the zoning code.

 Zoning Text Amendment for Executive Order Phase 1.

The City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission will hear public testimony on a Zoning Text Amendment in response to Executive Order 2026-01 to remove obsolete sections and language, revise dimensional standards; simplify height requirements; and adjust the residential compatibility standards of the Zoning Code. This will be heard together with DCP-MPZC-2026-00169 to rezone a portion of downtown to GT-C.

Zoning Map Amendment for Executive Order Phase 1., DCP-MPZC-2026-00169

The City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission will hear public testimony on (DCP-MPZC-2026-00169), to rezone the area bounded by the Monongahela River to the south, the Boulevard of the Allies to the north, Commonwealth Place to the west, and Stanwix Street to the east from GT-D (Golden Triangle Subdistrict D) to GT-C (Golden Triangle Subdistrict C).

The City of Pittsburgh Planning Commission will hear public testimony to rezone parcels 36-K-30, 36-K-90, and 36-K-94-1 from RM-M (Residential Multi-Unit Moderate Density), R1D-L (Residential Single-Unit Detached Low Density), and P (Parks) to RP (Residential Planned Unit Development) in the Banksville Neighborhood.
