Reserve Park Shelter
NOTICE: The City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works and CitiParks is moving to a NEW online permitting system in early December 2025. For this to occur, the current system will be taken offline starting Tuesday, November 4, 2025 at NOON, and will last for approximately 1 month. During this time, we will be migrating all currently booked permits to the new system, to ensure there are no double bookings when the new system goes live.
The new system will provide a better mechanism for reserving City facilities and spaces. Additionally, all users will create their own, new user account, that will allow for online invoicing and payments directly through the user account.
Should a permit be needed during this timeframe, requests will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Only requests that require a parks facility permit in addition to a special events permit will be reviewed. The preferred, quickest method to contact the Permits Office is by emailing dpwfields&parkshelters@pittsburghpa.gov

**Online Facility Rental Temporarily Unavailable**
Visit the new online Facility Rental website to create an online account and view available facilities.
Most shelter reservations can be made immediately online. If you are unable to reserve a shelter online, phone or in-person reservations will be done by appointment only. Please email dpwfields&parkshelters@pittsburghpa.gov to schedule if you are unable to use our online service.
