Citizen's Police Academy

The CPA offers citizens a chance to experience police training and to learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Police Bureau. The program provides a safe and entertaining environment to learn about the various operations of the police bureau. The program offers 2 hours of training a week, for 12 weeks. Participants will learn about criminal law, patrol tactics, police accountability, SWAT, SVU, computer crimes as well as other interesting and exciting subject matters related to policing. They will be exposed to the various specialty police units within the bureau.

All interested persons must complete the on-line application.

Student Police Academy

TheSPAoffers students a chance to experience police training and to learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Police Bureau.It offers students a chance to experience police training and to learn about the roles and responsibilities of the Police Bureau.The program offers 1.5 hours of training a week, for 10 weeks.The students will learn about criminal law, patrol tactics, police accountability, SWAT, SVU, computer crimes as well as other interesting and exciting subject matters related to policing.They will be exposed to the various specialty police unitswithinthebureau.
