Police Arrest Woman in Perry North Shooting Incident

At approximately 9:45 p.m., Zone 1 officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Watson Blvd. in Perry North for reports of shots fired.

Arriving units located a juvenile female with graze wounds to her legs. She was transported to the hospital in stable condition. Police received information that a possible actor was inside a nearby residence.

They were able to make contact with the adult female suspect who came outside and was detained for questioning. Officers conducted a protective sweep of the residence to ensure no other victims or potential actors were inside.

Violent Crime Unit detectives arrested Brittany Smith, 33, in this incident. Smith is charged with Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and Possessing Instruments of a Crime.
