Male Critically Injured in Perry South Shooting Incident

Just before 8:45 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched to the 2300 block of Wilson Ave. following an 18-round ShotSpotter notification.

Arriving units located an adult male victim on the ground suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers applied a chest seal and rendered aid until medics arrived. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Multiple shell casings were recovered at the scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
