Collision Investigation Unit Investigates Crash on East Busway

The Pittsburgh Police Collision Investigation Unit is investigating an overnight crash that injured six people on the E. Busway.

The incident reportedly began with a traffic stop by Wilkinsburg Police. The vehicle fled onto the PRT East busway, eventually crashing near Grant Street and the Federal Building.

Pittsburgh EMS transported six people, two in critical condition.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor. The investigation is ongoing.
