Pittsburgh Police and EMS Respond to Collision on the Liberty Bridge

At approximately 12:52 p.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police were dispatched to the Liberty Bridge for a three-vehicle collision.

Upon arrival, officers encountered a collision involving three vehicles, with one vehicle engulfed in flames. Three occupants inside the vehicle on fire were pinned inside. Officers were able to extinguish the fire and extricate an adult male and an adult female, who were transported to a local hospital in critical condition. The third adult female passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire also responded to the scene.

The adult male occupant of the second vehicle was checked by Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS paramedics on scene and did not require transport.

The adult occupant of the third vehicle was transported to a local hospital in stable condition.

The Accident Investigation Unit was called to the scene and is investigating the incident.
