Pittsburgh Fire Fights Fire in Abandoned/Decommissioned Church

Just after 6 p.m., Pittsburgh Fire responded to a 2-alarm commercial structure fire at 148 Jacunda Street. A third alarm was called for additional manpower.
The building was abandoned and no longer in use as a church. There were no injuries to firefighters and no one was inside the building at the time of the fire.
The majority of the fire was knocked down within an hour, but firefighters continued to work to put out hotspots. The fire was placed under control at 7:30 p.m.
Detectives from the Fire Investigation Unit are on scene working to determine the exact cause of the fire.
