At approximately 1:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 3 officers were dispatched to the intersection of W Warrington and Boggs Avenue for a reported vehicle versus pedestrian collision.
Upon arrival, officers located an unconscious adult male in the roadway suffering from a head injury. Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS transported the victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
Preliminary information indicates the suspects entered an SUV and struck the victim while he was on the sidewalk, before fleeing the scene on Warrington Avenue.
The Mobile Crime Unit and Drone Unit responded to process evidence. Detectives are reviewing all CCTV footage in the surrounding area.
Homicide detectives are leading an active and ongoing investigation.
