Detectives Investigate Aggravated Assault in E. Allegheny

At approximately 12:30 a.m., Zone 1 officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Constance St. in East Allegheny for a reported gunshot victim.

Arriving units located an adult female inside a residence with a gunshot wound to the leg. Officers applied a tourniquet to the patient until medics arrived. She was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

Mobile Crime Unit detectives processed evidence at the scene. The house where the victim was located sustained damage from gunfire.

There are no arrests or actor information at this time.

Violent Crime Unit detectives will be handling the investigation.
