At approximately 6:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 4700 block of Baum Boulevard for a reported armed robbery at a business in the area.
First responders received a call reporting a suspicious person with a description that both matched the suspect and the vehicle used to flee the scene of the incident. The Real Time Crime Center located the vehicle in the Bloomfield area.
A pursuit was authorized, and officers followed the vehicle into the Penn Hills area where the suspect crashed on Lincoln Road and Verona Road. No injuries were reported.
An adult male actor is in custody. A firearm and money were recovered at the scene. The investigation is ongoing.
