At approximately 4:15 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 were dispatched to the 900 block of Manton Way for reports of a disturbance. While en route, dispatch informed officers that the call had been updated to reports of a person shot.
When officers arrived to the scene, they located an adult male in the street with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and abdomen. He was transported in critical condition by Pittsburgh EMS to an area hospital, where he was taken immediately into surgery.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to the scene to process evidence, including recovered shell casings.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
