Police, Fire, EMS Respond to Knoxville Shooting

Police, Fire, and EMS responded to the 300 block of Brownsville Road for a 6-round ShotSpotter alert at 2 p.m. Police located a male in his early 20s on the street with a gunshot wound to his back.

Medics transported him to the hospital in critical condition where he was taken into surgery.

Crime Scene Unit detectives processed evidence at the scene and VCU detectives are investigating.
