DPW Yard Debris & Recycling Drop-Off Locations Closed Friday and Saturday

Pittsburgh, PA – In observance of the Independence Day holiday, the Department of Public Works’ yard debris and recycling drop-off locations will be closed on Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4, 2026.

The following yard debris drop-off locations will be closed:

East End on Hamilton Avenue

Hazelwood on Melanchton Street

West End on Hassler Street

The following recycling drop-off locations will be closed:

East End on Hamilton Avenue

Hazelwood on Melanchton Street

West End on Hassler Street

Strip District on Railroad Street

North Point Breeze (Construction Junction) on N Lexington Street

Curbside refuse and recycling collection will not be affected by the holiday. Additional city closures for Independence Day can be found here.
