City of Pittsburgh 2025 Community Festival Program Grant Application Opens March 1
Pittsburgh, PA – The City of Pittsburgh invites applicants for the 2025 Community Festival Program Grant beginning at 8 a.m. on Saturday, March 1. Local community-based non-profits are encouraged to apply for the need-based reimbursement program before Sunday, April 13, 2025.
In existence since 1977, the Community Festival Program Grant has provided funding to help communities produce neighborhood-focused festivals for over 40 years. The program’s goal is to provide financial assistance to non-profit community groups so they may launch and develop an annual event to bring together their community and foster togetherness.
“Each year we are proud to offer this resource to uplift our neighborhoods in showcasing their own unique culture and vibrancy,” said Kathryn Vargas, City of Pittsburgh Director of Parks and Recreation. “This grant continues to help provide opportunities for Pittsburghers to gather with their community and celebrate with each other year after year.”
The 2025 Community Festival Program will once again provide 30 individual grants of up to $1,000 in reimbursements for events hosted by community-based non-profit groups during the festival season, which runs from June 1 – October 31. The grant is coordinated each year through the CitiParks Office of Special Events.
To qualify for this grant, non-profits must have been in existence for 3 years, offer a community event without conditional entry (ticket fees, donations, etc.), and should be a one-day event. New events are highly encouraged to apply.
