  • Repairing Together: Naming Loss While Fueling Change - Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 6:15 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. [Anathan, 1620 Murray Ave]

      • Join NCJW Pittsburgh for an evening of connection and action honoring losses—personal, systemic, and collective—while fueling movements for change. Guest speaker Symone Harmon of the Women's Law Project will share powerful insights from her work supporting youth access to reproductive care and advocating for justice beyond the courtroom. Together, we'll grieve, connect, and organize for a future rooted in truth and possibility.

        • A collective care practice
        • A featured speaker from the Women's Law Project Pittsburgh
        • Childcare provided (limited capacity)

Councilperson Strassburger hosted a meeting with leadership from District 8 community organizations to share best practices and discuss ways in which her office can best engage with them.

Informal Gatherings

If you would like to host an event at your home, condominium, or cooperative for your neighbors to get to know Councilperson Strassburger, please fill out the following form.

District 8 Principals Meetings

Councilperson Strassburger convenes the Principals of each public, private, and parochial schools in District 8 to discuss shared priorities and build relationships between the education community and City government. The meetings feature Zone 4 Police Officers and other speakers of interest.
