Construction Junction also accepts electronic ballasts and magnetic ballasts for $1 per pound, rounded up in half pound increments.
Freon Appliances (Air Conditioners, Refrigerators, Dehumidifiers)
Freon-containing appliances have different disposal requirements based on size. City of Pittsburgh residents can recycle small freon appliances, (AC units, dehumidifiers), through our vendor, Noble Environmental, starting in 2026. See the e-waste section for more details.
