Media Advisory: Bureau of Fire Hosts Live Flashover Training

Please join the Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire for a unique training opportunity that brings live fire instruction to the City of Pittsburgh. In coordination with the Pennsylvania State Fire Academy, the bureau is conducting comprehensive fire behavior and flashover training designed to simulate real-world conditions.

For the first time in decades, permitting has allowed this specialized training to take place within the city limits. The bureau-wide training began on February 2 and concludes at the end of the month.

WHO: Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire Leadership, President of Pittsburgh Fire Fighters IAFF Local 1 Ralph Sicuro, and Controller for the City of Pittsburgh Rachael Heisler.
