*Free* Steering Wheel Lock Giveaway Event in Pittsburgh Police Zone 3/Council District 3

Thursday, July 30, 2026 from 4-6 p.m.

All media: In response to an increase in vehicle thefts and thefts from vehicles throughout the city in recent years, Pittsburgh Police Zone 3 and City Council District 3 have teamed up with the Hilltop Alliance to host a *FREE* steering wheel lock giveaway event.

Generously sponsored by Erie Insurance, there are close to 250 locks up for grabs, while supplies last. This is a community event with the opportunity for interviews and visual content.

Who: Public Safety Director Sheldon Williams, District 3 Councilmember Bob Charland, and Pittsburgh Police Zone 3 Sergeant Andrew Robinson.

Where: Venson Park, 700 Gearing Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15210
