Zone 5 Officers Dispatched for Shooting in North Homewood

At 1:35 a.m., Zone 5 officers were dispatched to a 14 round ShotSpotter notification in the 900 block of N. Lang Avenue.

Responding units located a female victim at the Sunoco gas station a short distance away after she got in a car and left the area. She suffered a through and through gunshot wound to the arm. Pittsburgh EMS transported her to the hospital in stable condition.

The victim had been standing in a parking lot across the street from a nightclub located in the 7100 block of Frankstown Avenue when the shots were fired.

The Mobile Crime Unit processed evidence at the scene. There are no suspects or arrests at this time.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
