UPDATE: Joseph Powell, 17, of Beechview, was pronounced deceased at the hospital following the incident.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police from Zone 2 were dispatched to the 2300 block of Wylie Avenue in response to a single ShotSpotter Alert totaling 20 rounds.
Upon arrival, officers located a 17-year-old male victim outside with gunshot wounds to the chest and leg. Officers rendered first aid until the Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS arrived.
Pittsburgh Paramedics provided advanced life support on scene, including an emergency whole blood in the field transfusion. The juvenile victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
While on scene, officers received information that a suspect may have fled into a nearby building. SWAT was requested to assist in clearing the residence.
Multiple individuals exited the building, including a 22-year-old adult male who had sustained a minor gunshot wound to the leg. Pittsburgh EMS transported the adult male to the hospital in stable condition.
Two individuals have been detained for additional questioning.
The Violent Crime Unit is handling the ongoing investigation.
