Police Investigate North Side Aggravated Assault

Just before 2:30 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were called to the 200 block of North Shore Dr. for reports of shots fired.

Officers located a scene outside in the area of the water steps that lead down to the riverwalk.

A short time later, a male with a gunshot wound to the torso was dropped off at the hospital. He arrived in stable condition.

Mobile Crime Unit detectives responded to process evidence. The Violent Crime Unit will handle the investigation.
