Pittsburgh Police Respond to Physical Altercation Involving Juveniles

At 8:41 p.m., the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police responded to Obama Academy in East Liberty following a report of a large fight.

Pittsburgh Public School police requested assistance after a crowd of approximately 200 juveniles gathered in the parking lot following a sporting event. Pittsburgh police officers from multiple police zones responded to the scene and observed a physical altercation involving approximately 40-50 juveniles. At which point, officers deployed pepper spray to disperse the crowd and restore order.

No officers or civilians reported any injuries.
