Pittsburgh Police Investigate Two Robberies in Oakland

Just before midnight, Pittsburgh police were dispatched to the 4500 block of Centre Avenue in response to a reported robbery. The adult male victim stated that as he exited his vehicle, he was approached by a suspect demanding money. The victim handed over his wallet. After discovering there was no cash inside, the suspect discarded the wallet and fled the scene. No injuries were reported.

Shortly after midnight on April 16, Pittsburgh police responded to the 100 block of Robinson Street for a reported assault.
The adult male victim told officers that a suspect attacked him and demanded money. The victim eventually fought off the suspect and reported that nothing was taken.

Pittsburgh EMS treated the victim on scene for minor head injuries. He was transported to the hospital in stable condition.

At this time, there is no indication these incidents are connected. The investigation is ongoing.
