Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Investigate Shooting in Homewood South

At approximately 12:45 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 5 officers were dispatched to the 7200 block of Kelly Street in the Homewood South neighborhood for a single ShotSpotter alert totaling 4 rounds.

Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim in a nearby parking lot with a single gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS paramedics administered a whole blood in the field transfusion and transported the victim, who was alert and conscious, to the hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene and recovered two shell casings.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
