Pittsburgh EMS, Police, Fire, and Park Rangers responded to the intersection of Farmhouse Drive and Reservoir Drive in Highland Park for a report of a single-vehicle accident involving a vehicle that had gone over a cliffside.

Upon arrival, first responders located an adult female driver and an adult male passenger entrapped within the vehicle, approximately 40 feet down the embankment. Rescue Paramedics initiated a technical rescue operation, utilizing a rope rescue system to access the vehicle. Edraulic rescue tools were employed to remove the vehicle's doors, allowing for the safe extrication of both occupants. The patients were subsequently secured in a Stokes Basket and raised up the hillside while being tended to by Paramedics during the ascent.

Both adults sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported by medics to a local hospital in stable condition.
