At approximately 10:15 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 4 were dispatched to the 100 block of Tecumseh Street in Hazelwood for an eight-round ShotSpotter alert.

Officers arriving to the scene found shell casings on the sidewalk and two residences that had been struck by bullets.

When clearing the first damaged structure, officers located an adult female who had sustained a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics. She was transported by Pittsburgh EMS in stable condition to an area hospital.

The second damaged residence was occupied at the time, but no injuries were reported to any of the occupants.

Witnesses at the scene reported to officers that a dispute between neighbors over a parking complaint preceded the shooting.

The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. There are no arrests at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
