UPDATE: Brian Kellum, 46, of Pittsburgh, has been charged in connection with this incident. The charges include criminal attempt, aggravated assault, and recklessly endangering another person.

At approximately 6:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched to the intersection of Pressley Street and Cedar Avenue for a reported stabbing.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a stab wound to the back. According to initial reports, the male suspect fled the scene on foot accompanied by an adult female.
Pittsburgh EMS transported the male victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
Utilizing drones, officers located the male suspect near the 16th Street Bridge. He was taken into custody without incident. The accompanying female was detained for further questioning.
The investigation is ongoing.
