UPDATE: Police, EMS Respond to Female Assaulted in Business Robbery

UPDATE: Narcotics and Vice Detectives arrested William Grayson, 47, on a warrant in connection with this incident. He was transported to the ACJ after being interviewed by Violent Crime Unit detectives.

Grayson is charged with Aggravated Assault, Persons Not to Possess, Robbery-Inflict/Threat-Bodily Injury, Carrying a Firearm Without a License, Criminal Conspiracy, Theft by Unlawful Taking-Movable, and Receiving Stolen Property.

Original incident details:

Just before 7:50 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 received information from a third party caller saying that a woman approached her in a parking lot, stating she was attacked and pistol-whipped while working inside the Sky Spa at 2544 Library Road.

Medics transported the female in serious, but stable condition with visible injuries to her head. She was able to tell police she was letting a customer out the door when two males wearing masks pushed their way inside the business. The victim says she saw one firearm before she was struck in the head.

There were three customers and four employees inside the business at the time, but they were on a different floor and did not witness the attack.

It is not known exactly what, if anything, was taken. The actors were gone by the time police arrived on scene.

Police are investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
