Two Injured in Overnight Shooting, Detectives Investigating

Summary:

Just after 2:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 700 block of Brushton Avenue in Homewood South for reports of several victims with gunshot wounds.

Arriving officers located two adult males with injuries. One victim sustained a graze wound and the other sustained a gunshot wound to his arm.

Both victims were transported to area hospitals by Pittsburgh EMS medics in stable condition.

A crime scene was located several blocks away in the 8000 block of Bennett Street.

The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process evidence at the scene.

Violent Crime Unit detectives were called to investigate. The investigation is ongoing.
