At approximately 5:15 p.m., a Pittsburgh Police officer was involved in a collision with a civilian vehicle at Shady Ave. and Wilkins Ave. while responding to a call.
The driver of the civilian vehicle was not injured and at first refused medical attention, but was later evaluated by medics at the scene.
Lights and sirens were activated at the time of the collision. Both vehicles were towed from the area.
The officer driving the police vehicle was not injured.
The collision will be investigated.
