Pittsburgh EMS Treats Multiple Patients During Three Day Festival

Summary:

The Picklesburgh festival continues to grow in size and popularity each year, even setting a one day attendance record on Saturday.

With the large crowds and hot weather, Pittsburgh EMS was busy attending to a number of patients with various conditions over the three day event.

From Friday through Sunday, paramedics and EMTs treated a total of 33 people for everything from heat exhaustion, falls, panic attacks, seizures, respiratory distress and intoxication.

There was also one overdose and one obstetric patient who was transported to the hospital in labor.

A total of 16 patients were taken to the hospital to receive additional care.
