Date: November 25, 2023 Incident Type: Assault/Robbery Location: Zone 3 Summary:
At 9:35 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 3 responded to reports of an adult male who was walking in the area of 73 E. Carson Street by the American Natural gas station when he was approached by a group of juveniles who assaulted him and tried to rob him of his backpack.
The male suspects fled the area on foot, but were apprehended a short time later by police.
The victim was injured and treated by medics. One of the juveniles received a serious injury to his eye when the victim defended himself. He was transported to the hospital.
Five juvenile males between the ages of 13 and 15, were arrested. They each face charges of robbery, conspiracy, and aggravated assault.
