WHO: Mayor Ed Gainey, U.S. Representative Summer Lee, U.S. Representative Chris Deluzio, HACP Board Member and housing advocate Jala Rucker, and other state representatives.
WHAT: Mayor Ed Gainey, alongside Congresswoman Summer Lee, Pennsylvania delegation, local leaders, and housing advocates, will hold a press conference opposing harmful policies that threaten HUD and affordable housing. Pittsburgh leaders refuse to let HUD leadership abandon the thousands of families and seniors who rely on the agency for safe and affordable housing. This press conference will lay out a clear call to action—for the federal government to restore these critical resources and for the public to mobilize against disinvestment in our communities.
