City of Pittsburgh Announces 2026 Summer Concert Series Presented by Citizens
Pittsburgh, PA – The CitiParks Office of Special Events is pleased to announce official schedule for the upcoming 2026 “Summer Concert Series” presented by Citizens. Featuring 22 events free to the public, this year’s concert series will include a patriotic musical revue from River City Brass on June 28, as well as local jazz and rock favorites all summer long.
“Stars at Riverview” spotlights jazz, fusion and more on the stage at Riverview Park’s Observatory Hill, starring Roger Barbour Music, Chantal Joseph, Fermented Beats, and more, with rotating food trucks on site. Concert-goers are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket, with concerts followed by a showing of “Dollar Bank Cinema in the Park” each Saturday in June and July.
“Bach, Beethoven, and Brunch” will continue to showcase classical melodies in the gardens of Mellon Park. Presented with support from WQED-FM 89.3, attendees can bring a picnic basket and vie for a prize in the weekly “Best Brunch” competition during intermission, or purchase beverage and food options from local vendors. Sunday mornings in June and July will feature the musical talents of the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, youth musicians of Three Rivers Young Peoples Orchestra, and more.
Pittsburgh’s finest jazz musicians return to the Highland Park lawn Sunday afternoons in August for the ever-popular “Reservoir of Jazz” series. Grab a bite to eat and a seat on the lawn as long-time Riverview staple Lee Robinson & ISKA swings over to the reservoir stage this summer, appearing along with a full lineup of series newcomers this season. Following the concerts, attendees can enjoy “Summer Soul Line Dancing” sessions at the fountain. This series is supported by AARP Pennsylvania, WZUM Jazz, and the Highland Park Community Council.
“Jam at Grandview” is back on Saturday evenings in August, where visitors can enjoy music, brews, and one of the City’s best views. Local bands, such as crowd favorite SamJAMwich and first-timer Brahctopus, will once again blend genres including rock, psychedelic, and funk from the Grandview Park Bandstand.
“At Citizens, we’re committed to supporting our local community and Pittsburgh’s vibrant arts and culture scene,” said Lisa McGraw, Pittsburgh Market Retail Executive at Citizens. “The Summer Concert Series celebrates local artists in parks across the city, and we encourage everyone to come out and experience the best of Pittsburgh this summer.
