Pittsburgh, PA – In response to forecasted temperatures expected to reach 90 degrees for Saturday, July 12, 2025, CitiParks will activate four Healthy Active Living Centers as Cooling Centers.
These four centers will provide residents with a safe, air-conditioned environment to escape the heat on Saturday from 12 PM – 6 PM:
Brighton Heights Healthy Active Living Community Center
3515 McClure Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15212
Sheraden Healthy Active Living Community Center
720 Sherwood Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15204
South Side Healthy Active Living Community Center
12th & Bingham Streets
Pittsburgh, PA 15203
Greenfield Healthy Active Living Community Center
745 Greenfield Avenue
Pittsburgh, PA 15217
Due to a scheduled event taking place at Beechview Healthy Active Living Community Center, that site will not serve as cooling center on Saturday.
All residents are encouraged to take precautions during periods of extreme heat, especially older adults, young children, and those with underlying health conditions.
Note: CitiParks and the City of Pittsburgh will typically activate cooling centers when the forecasted highs are predicted to be above 90 degrees.
