Just before 7:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 3 officers responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian collision on the 2000 block of Wharton Street.
Preliminary information indicates the vehicle was being towed when an adult male ran in front of the truck, tripped, and fell into its path. The adult male sustained head and arm injuries. The tow truck driver remained on scene.
Pittsburgh EMS transported him to the hospital in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing.
