Police Investigate Shots Fired in Brighton Heights, One Injured

Just before 1:15 a.m, Zone 1 officers were dispatched to 600 Brighton Woods Rd. for two ShotSpotter alerts totaling 27 rounds.

Arriving units located multiple shell casings in the area. A vehicle with a handgun on the floorboard was in plain view of officers. It was towed from the scene pending a search warrant. All individuals were identified and released.

A short time later, a male was dropped off at the hospital in stable condition with a graze wound to the head.

The investigation is ongoing.
