Police Investigate Shooting in Perry South Neighborhood

Police are investigating after a male with a gunshot wound was located in the 2300 block of Wilson Ave. just before 4:30 p.m.

Officers administered aid to the victim until medics transported him to the hospital in critical condition.

Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating. A firearm was recovered on scene and police executed a search warrant for a residence.

The investigation continues.
