Just before 1:00 a.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 1 were dispatched for four-round ShotSpotter alert in the 100 block of Hazlett Street in Northview Heights.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male inside a residence who sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the back. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene. Detectives from the Violent Crime Unit are investigating and actively reviewing all available CCTV footage.
The investigation is active and ongoing.
