At approximately 11:45 p.m. on July 27th, Pittsburgh Police from Zone 2 responded to a one-round ShotSpotter alert in the 2400 block of Bedford Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male outside with a single gunshot wound to the head. The suspect reportedly fled the scene on foot. A search is ongoing.
Pittsburgh EMS transported the adult male victim to a local hospital in critical condition.
The Mobile Crime Unit arrived to process the scene.
