At approximately 2:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, assisted by University of Pittsburgh Police, responded to the 300 block of Semple Street to disperse a large crowd of people.

One male was transported by Pittsburgh EMS to the hospital in stable condition with minor injuries to his face that he sustained after falling on the sidewalk.

After police arrival, the crowd cleared without further incident.

Pittsburgh Police issued no citations, nor made any arrests.

A permit had been previously issued for an event in the area, but has since been revoked due to the crowd size being significantly higher than what the event was permitted for.
