UPDATE: The adult male victim was pronounced deceased at approximately 3:45 a.m.
The Pittsburgh Bureau of Police arrested Devaugh Tarver, 40, of Pittsburgh, in connection with the incident. He faces the following charges: criminal homicide, carrying a firearm without a license, and tampering with physical evidence.

At approximately 3:45 pm, Pittsburgh Bureau of Police Zone 1 responded to Hazlett Street in Northview Heights for a reported shooting.
Preliminary information indicates that an adult male sustained two gunshot wounds, to the upper back and groin, inside a residence. This was an isolated incident and there is no threat to the community at this time.
Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS responded and provided advanced life care, including giving the victim whole blood in the field. He was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Homicide detectives and the Mobile Crime Unit responded to process the scene.
The investigation is ongoing at this time.
