Firefighters Battle Hazelwood Rowhouse Fire, Two Firefighters Injured

Pittsburgh Fire responded to 242 Glenwood Ave. for a reported rowhouse fire just after 1:30 a.m.

When firefighters arrived on scene there was fire in the basement that had spread to the first floor of the structure.

Two firefighters suffered injuries while fighting the fire. Medics treated them on scene and both refused transport to the hospital.

The fire spread to the two neighboring properties, which were vacant. No occupants were inside the house where the fire originated.

The Fire Investigation Unit will conduct interviews and work to determine the cause of the fire.
