Detectives Investigate Daylight Shooting in Homewood

Just after 4:15 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, EMS, and Fire were dispatched to the 7300 block of Frankstown Avenue for reports of a shooting following an altercation between two males.

Arriving units located a male victim with gunshot wounds to the shoulder and chest. Medics transported him to the hospital in critical, but stable condition.

Detectives from the Mobile Crime Unit were called to process the scene. There are no arrests at this time.

Frankstown Avenue will be closed between Collier St. and Sterrett St. while Violent Crime Unit detectives investigate.
