At approximately 6:45 p.m., Pittsburgh Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to the 500 block of Brookline Boulevard for a reported vehicle versus motorcycle collision.
Arriving responders located an adult male motorcycle driver in the roadway who had sustained significant injuries. He was transported in grave condition to an area hospital. Shortly after arrival, he was unfortunately declared deceased.
The initial investigation indicates that an SUV was attempting to make a left-hand turn out of a business driveway when the motorcycle struck the driver’s side of the vehicle.
The adult male driver of the SUV stayed at the scene and was cooperative with officers.
While the incident still remains under investigation by Collision Investigation Unit detectives, no charges are expected at this time.
The investigation is ongoing.
