On September 11, 2026, Pittsburgh Police filed charges and issued an arrest warrant for Matthew Demopoulos, 39, of Pittsburgh, in connection with a July 15, 2026, vehicle versus pedestrian collision in the South Side Flats.
Demopoulos faces numerous felony and misdemeanor charges including aggravated assault by vehicle, accidents involving death or personal injury, careless driving, and reckless driving.
