Date: July 8, 2024 Incident Type: Shooting Location: Zone 5 Summary:
At approximately 10:00 p.m., Pittsburgh Police from Zone 5 were dispatched to the 6200 block of Broad Street in East Liberty for a seven-round ShotSpotter alert.
While officers were en route, several calls came in for shots fired.
Arriving officers located an adult female victim at the rear of the residence with three gunshot wounds to her leg. She was conscious, alert, and speaking with officers and medics.
The victim was transported by Pittsburgh EMS Medic 11 in stable condition to an area hospital.
The Mobile Crime Unit was called to process evidence at the scene, including recovered shell casings.
Violent Crime Unit detectives are investigating.
The investigation is ongoing.
