Pittsburgh Police Investigate After Banners Placed on City Bridges

Summary:

On the morning of Saturday, September 28, 2024, Pittsburgh Police were alerted to two separate instances of banners/bed sheets with hand-written Nazi symbols and messages affixed to bridges overnight.

One of the banners was located on the West End Bridge at the intersection of Route 65, the other was placed on the Tenth Street Bridge. Both signs were removed, photographed, and secured as evidence.  

Neither sign contained any overt, written threat directed toward a specific group or individual.

There are no arrests or suspects at this time. The investigation is ongoing.
